In doing so, he rises to the challenge of positively influencing changes in society, in particular in relation to the issue of sustainability. An important part is the exchange and discussion about the topic. …

This white paper arranges topics that arise from the area of sustainability and online trade, it provides food for thought, answers relevant questions and offers a possible basis for online trade to take a close look at aspects of sustainability and for this complex subject area to be understood and to develop solutions. A conscious decision was made not to accurately reflect the status quo in all areas. The white paper is not a complete inventory, but a collection of very special challenges, trends, potential and development opportunities that are particularly relevant for mail order and e-commerce. Together with the companies in the mail order business, this should enable more sustainability for society.
