AM Logistic Solutions sets up dispatch warehouse for H. Gautzsch Wholesale Austria

December 2020

Dispatch warehouse for overnight delivery

H. Gautzsch Austria has opened its new dispatch warehouse in Himberg near Vienna with an AutoStore small parts warehouse from AM Logistic Solutions. Tailored to the wholesaler’s logistics concept, the system enables materials to be dispatched to construction sites in Austria overnight.

Offenau/Himberg, December 17, 2020 — The electrical wholesaler stores more than 25,000 items in its automated warehouse with two-stage picking. The centerpiece and leading system is an ultra-compact AutoStore automated small parts warehouse (AKL), which requires only around a third of the space of comparable systems. The system holds 18,000 bins, which are moved by eight battery-powered robots. For incoming goods and order picking, AM Logistic Solutions has equipped the system with three flexible ports that can be used for any required task. With its two speed levels, the AKL can handle up to 250 container deliveries per hour. This makes it ideal for H. Gautzsch’s dynamic shipping business in two-shift operation. The wholesaler delivers orders from electrical installers that arrive at construction sites after the end of the day by 6.30 a.m. the following day. Last orders can be received up to 30 minutes before the end of the last shift.

“With the AutoStore from AM Logistic Solutions, we have a fast, energy-saving and extremely fail-safe system that fits perfectly with our business model,” explains Helmut Lindinger, Managing Director of H. Gautzsch Großhandel Österreich GmbH.
